Ingredients:

32 oz (4 cups) no-salt-added chicken broth

1 sweet potato

4 to 8 teaspoons of gelatin (adjust based on desired consistency)

Instructions

Prepare the Sweet Potato:

Peel the sweet potato and chop it into small chunks suitable for blending.

Gelatin Mixture:

In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over 1/4 cup of cold water. Let it sit for a few minutes to "bloom" (it should look a bit wrinkly or grainy).

Blend and Heat in Vitamix:

Add the chicken broth and sweet potato chunks to the Vitamix.

Secure the lid and select the "soup mode" or set it to high if there isn't a specific soup mode.

Let the blender run until the cycle is complete. The friction from the blades will cook the sweet potato and heat the mixture.

Add Gelatin:

Once the soup mode is complete and while the mixture is still hot, add the bloomed gelatin to the Vitamix.

Blend on a medium to high setting for about 30 seconds to ensure the gelatin is fully incorporated and dissolved.

Cool and Store:

Pour the "Dogsup" mixture into a container or squeeze bottles.

Allow it to cool to room temperature before placing it in the refrigerator. The mixture will thicken as it cools.

With the Vitamix, you'll get a very smooth consistency, and the process is simplified as you're blending and cooking in one step. Remember to always let your dog sample a small amount first to ensure there are no adverse reactions. If all goes well, enjoy using the "Dogsup" to make your dog's treats and toys even more enticing!
